Share

Live Webinar Friday January 28, 2011 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM, EST
1 PDU Cat 3 $15

The creation of a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for a project is often a misunderstood if not a daunting project activity. Project teams often misunderstand the purpose and uses of the WBS confusing it with the Project Plan or Project Schedule. The WBS and the Project Schedule do have a relationship, but they are not interchangeable deliverables.

During this 1 hour Solutions Cube Group webinar: ABC Basics Of The WBS, attendees will acquire an understanding on the characteristics and components of a well defined WBS that is used as blueprint for the product or service being produced as well as fully describes all the project deliverables required to produce the project outcome.

Solutions Cube Group’s live Webinars address many relevant project issues. Join us for this 1 hour in depth presentation to learn about the components of project’s Work Breakdown Structure and how to use it to reduce project failures by closing the gap on missed or misunderstood project requirements.

I attended the De-Mystifying the WBS seminar hosted by Solutions Group last Friday. Many Project Management tools, such as MS Project, blur the line between the WBS and the Project Schedule. In this seminar, Paul Burek reminded us of the differences and of the value of creating a well defined WBS as part of our Project Plan. EdmontonPM

Live Webinar – Friday January 28, 11:00 am EST
Presenter: Darrel Raynor, PMP, MBA, Data Analysis & Results, Inc.
Duration 1 hour 1 PDU1 Cat 4 Free Offered by Jourynx

To become and remain relevant in today’s fast-paced world, PMOs must move from a C-Level partially sponsored layer of governance to a desired partner providing real and immediate value for projects of all sizes. Knowledge management for both culture and mechanics aspects of project and program management are critical. Providing another layer of vaguely directed management by rules is not desired by business units.

The bottom line: if projects take longer or cost more with PMO assistance than without, relevance is in high jeopardy. We will discuss two A&IPMâ„¢ strategies with tactics for each you can apply now. After this presentation, participants will be able to persuasively describe and prepare an implementation plan for these two powerful strategies:

  • Front load your projects with conflict via ‘Mandatory’ tailoring project processes using the “Process Slider” concept
  • Ensure all your processes have value by ‘Rating’ each process and process steps for ROI – guaranteed to lean up your processes!

This webinar is 1 hour long and attendees are eligible for 1 PDU credit.
