Agile software development is no longer a domain occupied solely by trend setting, trail blazing software shops, it has made the jump to the mainstream where it is being practiced in nearly ever industry and by every size of organization.

With its wider adoption, the underlying principles of Agile are often lost by teams, resulting in what we call ‘Cargo Cult Agile Teams’. These Cargo Cult Agile teams seem to do all of the right things, using all the right terms, but do not experience the amazing resulting benefits that other Agile teams do.

Presenter:
Bill Gaiennie (LinkedIn profile) has more than 16 years of working in the software development field as a developer, project manager, ScrumMaster, and a training coach. Bill is an accomplished, experienced Agile trainer, with 5 years of Agile experience effectively leading product and project teams in a wide array of Agile management and methodology based initiatives. He is currently an accredited member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and is active in the Agile Alliance and Scrum Alliance communities.

Live Webinar August 17 2011 -11:00 am CET (Central European Time)
Duration: 1 hour Credits: 1 PDU Category C Free
Presented by: Avepoint and the European SharePoint Conference

Users are well known to have a vivid imagination about their reporting needs. It is everyday experience the request for some kind of new report to gather new insights into the business.

PowerPivot and Self-Service BI aim to solve this scenario at its roots, by means of giving end users the power to build their reports by their own.

During this session the speaker is going to show how to create a simple report that answers a pretty common question: “Of all the customers who have bought a mountain bike, how many have never bought at least one mountain tire tube?”.

The final result is an Excel workbook that can be uploaded to SharePoint and be rendered by Excel Services, resulting in a complete reporting tool in the hand of end users.
