Duration: 1 hour webinar Credits: 1 PDU Category A – Free PDU

In their quest to successfully execute their strategy, organizations across the globe have indulged in establishing units under various names from Office of Strategy Management (OSM), Project Management Office (PMO), and Organizational Change Management Unit (OCM).

Many of these units have failed to achieve their intended objectives.

This failure was due to the fact that short fallings within implementation of each of these standalone units hindered the realization of the main objective of executing the strategy.

This presentation outlines a framework for strategy execution that integrates both project and change management models and methodologies. First describing the various units PMO, OSM and OCM, their roles and functions, the structures and limitations of each, and then outlining the integrated framework with its processes and organization structure, highlighting the key challenges for this framework.

Implementing this integrated framework would help organizations achieve better strategy execution through maintaining strategic focus and alignment, providing the necessary tools to execute while ensuring people are in the heart of the whole process by keeping them aligned, embracing the change and motivated to execute.

Presenter: Ahmed H. Hassan, MBA, PMP and APMG-Change Management Practitioner, (LinkedIn profile) has 20 years of experience in Strategic planning, Change Management, Business Transformation and Program / Project Management across various industries. His expertise spans across diverse cultural groups within MENA, Europe & USA. Mr. Hassan  volunteers and contributes to PMI &  ACMP (Association of Change Management Professionals) and speaks at conferences on the topics of Strategy, Change and Program Management.

  • How do I objectively assess whether I am over or under investing in the management of complex projects?
  • What is the level of organization maturity I need to run a complex project?
  • What are the correct level of project controls I should use when managing my complex project?

How well does your current approach to project management answer these three questions?

The current emphasis on creating compelling business cases to start or even continue investment for large complex projects has created a need for independent objective analysis.

The APMG Maturity Index™ is able to provide this analysis, allowing organizations to make resourcing decisions using real evidence.

This webinar provides an overview of how the APMG Maturity Index can provide organizations with this objective analysis.

It is presented by Lawrie Kirk, APMG’s Consulting Services Executive who has global responsibility for the APMG maturity assessment tools.

So before you spend a cent on the management of your complex project management, spend an hour with APMG by registering for this webinar.

Live Webinar – May 20th, 2014 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm  EDT
Presented by: Eclipse Project Portfolio Management
Duration: 1 hour 1 PDUs Credits: Category C 1 PDU- Free PDU

Project Portfolio Management (PPM) initiatives are expected to provide significant benefit to multiple roles within an organization.

Intuitively, most staff can understand the potential value in the organization, process and technology changes involved with a PPM initiative. However, the lack of change management practices through a PPM initiative’s implementation is one of the most common reasons for their failure. Symptoms of this issue can include poor executive commitment, resistance or political pressure from functional management and compliance issues with project teams.

Eclipse will review common misconceptions about PPM initiative implementations, provide some guiding principles for successful change and detail the steps and key communication messages necessary to gain buy-in from executive and functional management as well as from project teams.

This webinar will also provide tips that can be incorporated into the initiation and planning of your PPM initiative to increase your odds of success.

Who should attend this webinar?
C-Level Management, IT Directors and Managers or Directors of PMOs

The Agile umbrella is far reaching, and it grows every day as others uncover new ways of delivering value within their software development organizations.

One set of Agile practices, however, can take an organizations notion of agility to an extreme level.

Continuous attention to technical excellence is a core Agile principle, an eXtreme Programming (XP, programming to the extreme) is a proven way to get there.

During this one-hour web seminar you’ll get an overview of how XP core values and principles align with Agile, exposure to the practices that are embraced by teams using XP, and a high-level review of some of the most popular tools that organizations are using to enhance their adoption of XP practices.
