Many organizations, small and large, are implementing SharePoint 2010; however, the installers do not always have to time to completely customize the installation before users starting accessing it.

You will learn to perform customizations in four ways, including:

  • Creating a custom look and feel to brand your sites
  • Using Web parts to quickly provide content for your users
  • Creating a custom search page that provides content inside and outside of SharePoint
  • Using the SharePoint Designer to quickly add new data sources
