Let’s face it: traditional software development methods haven’t had great success applied to the world of SharePoint. Full-blown requirements gathering, detailed systems design, and extensive test plans seem out of place in the rapid and configurable world of SharePoint—after all, SharePoint is supposed to enable rapid, easy provisioning of sites to end users, right?

In this web seminar, you’ll dig deep into how joint application development and rapid application development methods can be applied to SharePoint to not only speed up the development process, but deliver higher quality, more successful sites as well.

Some key topics covered include:

  • Overview of agile SharePoint development
  • Introduction to JAD/RAD methodology
  • Using JAD/RAD methods to improve requirements gathering for SharePoint

Presenter: Joe Shepley (LinkedIn profile @joeshepley) PMP is the Vice President and Practice Leader at Doculabs in the Greater Chicago Area. He specializes in several areas including SDLC (software development life cycle) methodologies, ITIL (V3 Foundation), Project Management, and most importantly Microsoft SharePoint. You can connect with Joe via Twitter by or LinkedIn.

Green Belt Six Sigma, CMM/CMMI Trained,PMP. Statistics show that around two out of three projects have difficulties meeting the three successful criteria: delivered on time, with a final actual cost on or below budget, and in full compliance with the requirements.

This webinar presents a new Integrated Project Management Approach to encourage organizations and project people to introduce changes in the way that projects are handled nowadays.

This new integrated approach combines a Result-Based concept with a simplified application of Earned Value for planning and controlling the execution of projects more objectively, effectively and proactively regardless their size, complexity or type.

The webinar starts with the current practices behind the statistical rate of projects success and a current trend.

The project management techniques that are involved are presented using a case study:

  • Result-Based
  • Project Work Plan
  • Baseline, Earned Value
  • Earned Schedule and Performance Measurement

Finally, the presentation summarizes the benefits of implementing this approach with the ultimate goal to increase the probability of success and ROI of projects, and support the implementation of Earned Value and Earned Schedule worldwide.

Note: You do have to be a PMI® member to register for this opportunity.

“What the mind can conceive and believe it can achieve.”
Napoleon Hill 1883 – 1970

Hill’s work examined the power of beliefs, and the role they play in success. He was President Roosevelt’s advisor from 1933 to 1936 and his book, “Think and Grow Rich” has sold over 70 million copies. Do you agree with his quote, Why or Why not?

Self-Leadership is our ability to be aware of our thoughts and beliefs and manage them accordingly to achieve our objectives. Self-leadership impacts all areas of our lives: our health, careers and relationships.

Self-leaders enjoy more happiness, less stress and better relationships. Organizations that support self-leaders reap the rewards of improved goal setting, better decision making and more collaborative teams.

In this engaging, interactive webinar we will introduce 5 simple techniques you can use anytime anywhere to enhance both your professional and personal lives.

Specifically you will learn how to:

  • Create a clear mind by releasing nuisance thoughts
  • Reduce stress by changing conditioned responses
  • Set and achieve personal goals with a simple self-coaching process
  • Recharge by creating a sense of flow
  • Clearly communicate your view while acknowledging others
