With SharePoint 2013 Microsoft put a great deal of focus on improving the social features available to teams.

There has been expected evolution of some of the 2010 features like the Discussion Board, but there are many new great features which really allow us to take collaboration to the next level.

From the Newsfeed to Communities there is a great deal to get excited about in this release.

Teams are able to dive deep into the social experience to make them more productive. Ideation, brainstorming, questioning, and team conversations in team and projects sites is a reality.

Join us Tom for this hour-long discussion and demo into the new social features.

Tom will cover the following topics::

  • Newsfeed / Microblogging
  • My Sites / About Me
  • Tagging and Following
  • Communities/Reputation and Badges/Discussions

An hour will give Tom just enough time to get your feet wet. Join Tom for this informative session of demonstrations in a live SharePoint site.

Presenter: Tom Robbins (LinkedIn profile) has 25+ years in the telecommunications and IT industry. A Microsoft Certified Trainer and CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer, Tom has been training for more than 15 years on the Microsoft Enterprise suite of products.
