  • Software development initiatives today are often driven by the technology used and the time to completion.
  • IT is typically not focused on the value the initiative will deliver.

However, when both business and IT have a clear understanding of the business and economic value, they can both be held accountable for specific outcomes, including keeping the software development priorities focused on those projects with the greatest value.

In this webinar, Mike Harris (LinkedIn profile) will discuss leveraging a simple model, known as the Value Visualization Framework (VVF), to focus the business unit and IT on value streams for each application development initiative.

The VVF is a 5-step process that will help all stakeholders “Visualize the Value” of software initiatives in the form of requirements or stories.

Leveraging the VVF will not only drive cost savings for the organization, it also enables organizations to track actuals to ensure goals are met, drives greater alignment between IT and the business unit and positions IT as a strategic contributor within the organization.
