If you’ve been testing for any length of time, you know that the number of possible test cases is enormous if you try to test all possible combinations of inputs, configuration values, types of data, and so forth.
It’s like the mythical monster, the many-headed Hydra, which would sprout two or more new heads for each head that was cut off. Two simple approaches to dealing with combinatorial explosions such as this are equivalence partitioning and boundary value analysis, but those techniques don’t check for interactions between factors.
A reasonable, manageable way to test combinations is called pairwise testing, but to do it you’ll need a tool. In this inaugural
In this “One Key Idea” session, Rex will demonstrate the use of a free tool, ACTS, built by the US NIST and available for download worldwide.

Scrum is a framework within which teams can address complex adaptive problems, while productively and creatively delivering products of the highest possible value.
Scrum is often referred to as an Agile project management framework, but that’s somewhat a misrepresentation, as Scrum does not address a project’s full lifecycle; just the development of products/solutions.
During this webinar, Rajiv will:
- Provide a quick overview of Scrum for the benefit of those unfamiliar with it
- Explore how Project Managers can employ Scrum to effectively develop project deliverables
- Identify the types of projects and scenarios where Scrum will be more/most effective
- Consider if the Project Manager and Scrum Master roles can (or indeed should) be combined
If you are unable to join for the live delivery, please continue to register and they will ensure you get a link to the recording and slides.

This webinar discusses using the Praxis Framework.
This framework helps individuals and organisations realise the intended benefits of projects and programmes and encompasses a body of knowledge, methodology, competency framework and capability maturity model.
Despite running over 100 projects a year, the operations team at American Express Global Business Travel did not have a standardised Project and Programme framework prior to Praxis, which contributed to some challenges they wanted to address.
This webinar will openly and honestly explore how they adopted, with Training Bytesize’s assistance, the Praxis Framework and what they have learned from this experience.
During this session Brijender S Rathore from American Express GBT and Emma Jones (LinkedIn profile) on behalf of APMG and Training Bytesize will provide an overview of how the Praxis Framework was implemented and discuss:
- The problems and challenges American Express Global Business Travel were facing
- Why they chose the Praxis Framework?
- The process they used to implement and embed the framework
- What lessons were learned.
