CIOs must develop and lead future-proof organizations that can evolve despite ongoing disruptions, such as the adoption of hybrid work, impacts of economic uncertainty, and digital acceleration.
Yet, many CIOs find their leadership potential and strategic influence limited by having to focus more on tactical obligations.
Instead, they need to more effectively delegate these tactical assignments so they can turn their attention to the future of their organization.
In this webinar Jennifer Carter (LinkedIn profile) Gartner Principal Analyst will help CIOs and IT leaders delegate more effectively so they can free up time for executive leadership and focusing on strategic priorities.
Discussion Topics:
- Know the three key practices to determine if/when/how you should delegate a task
- Identify the barriers that can prevent you from delegating to your fullest potential
- Design and implement strategies to overcome any uncovered obstacles

During the post-pandemic era companies are striving to deliver more with less resources available at their disposal. There are various industry practices such as Lean, Six Sigma and Agile which the companies are trying to understand and embrace.
For a successful implementation of these strategies with an overall objective of delivering best value to the customer in the shortest possible time, it is necessary to understand the inner strengths of these philosophies to create a framework for effective implementation.
While we talk about Lean, it is basically a methodology to systematically eliminate wastes from the system. Whereas, Six Sigma methodology ensures reducing the variability of a given system.
Agile on the other hand, helps project teams to operate with more flexibility, allowing them to adapt to change quickly and develop a product or a service in a faster time as per the changing demand of the customer.
Goutam Sengupta‘s (LinkedIn profile) session shall address the importance of Lean, Six Sigma and Agile and examine whether those methodologies can be judicially mixed to deliver best value to the customer particularly during the post-pandemic era when the resources are scarce and rules of doing businesses have changed, making the customer demanding much faster deliveries.
That’s the thinking behind what may be called as next generation Lean-Six Sigma-Agile methodology, which blends the tools and techniques of all these three important concepts.
This innovative tool may bail the pandemic inflicted industries particularly the SMEs out from the perils they faced during the period of Covid-19.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understanding the plight that the pandemic has inflicted on industry performances particularly for SME Sector.
- Understanding the importance and significance of Lean, Six Sigma and Agile methodologies
- Brainstorming on the feasible solutions to combat this perilous situation.
- The power of Lean, Six Sigma and Agile to overcome this crisis.
- Comprehending application of Research Methodologies carried out by us for SME Sector during pandemic times for introduction of Lean, Six Sigma and Agile methodologies in a blended manner.
- Evolving a framework for rejuvenation of industry performances by judicious mixing of these three vital methodologies to deliver best value to the customer.

CIOs and technology leaders struggle to demonstrate the value of their initiatives to the business, but current ROI models don’t adequately account for outcomes delivered to stakeholders beyond shareholders.
Without a clear understanding of the value created and the impact on the organization’s mission-critical priorities, technology investments are often perceived as a cost center rather than strategic to the organization. Investments in technology initiatives can have a more significant impact on leading indicators of financial outcomes and future value.
Organizations need a new multifactor model that fully accounts for all financial and leading indicators of value for a range of stakeholder outcomes.
Join Rita L. Sallam (LinkedIn profile, Gartner bio) Gartner Distinguished VP Analyst; to learn how to use the Gartner Enterprise Value Equation to support technology and other investment decisions and measure impact in your organization.
Discussion Topics:
- Determine how executive leaders can demonstrate the value of their initiatives
- Explore a new approach to measure, articulate and optimize value
- Identify how technology investments can bring impactful benefits and drive enterprise value
