Live Webinar March 18th, 2020 – 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm EDT
Activity Type: Education – Course or Training  1 Hour  1 PDU free
Provider:  The Corporate Education Group ( REP 1011 )

In today’s business world we are so bombarded by information that many (if not most) of us live in a state of continuous partial attention.

While there are those who swear they can multitask, our brains are not designed to do that. We do not multitask; we switch-task, which involves processing sequential interruptions.

What psychologists and brain scientists tell us about interruptions is that they have a fairly profound effect on the way we think. It becomes much harder to sustain attention – to think about one thing for a long period of time – and to think deeply when new stimuli are pouring at you all day long.

In this webinar Christa Kirby will rethink some of our assumptions about focus and attention.

Christa will unmask some of the “disruption costs” of interruptions, including heightened stress and diminished quality. You’ll leave the session with some concrete ways to:

  • Prioritize and organize your time.
  • Enhance your ability to do “deep work.”
  • Successfully manage distractions.
  • Increase your productivity.

Presenter: Christa Kirby, (LinkedIn profile) MA, LCAT, PMP VP Talent Development & Leadership Practice Director,Corporate Education Group (CEG); has 15+ years of experience in communication, leadership, &  consulting for a global audience. A highly motivated learning & development professional with a unique confluence of experience in leadership development, consulting, change management, project management, coaching and mentoring, facilitation, and instructional design, Christa has designed, developed, and delivered numerous interactive leadership programs and blended learning solutions for clients worldwide & worked in 28 countries. In the last two weeks of 2019, we are publishing some  of our readers & editors favorite recorded opportunities, as a special treat for our readers!

Each of these webinars is available online!

The best project managers know that managing the expectations, goals and objectives of key stakeholders is critical to project success.

If the stakeholders aren’t satisfied, even the most efficient and well-executed project won’t be deemed successful in the eyes of those that matter most.

The best way to ensure stakeholder needs are met is to establish them up front, along with clear and mutually agreed upon communication and project completion requirements.

By considering stakeholder perceptions while developing the project charter and project plan, you can avoid unnecessary readjustments during project execution.

In this webinar, you will learn:

  • How to initiate projects that help your organization achieve its goals
  • How to develop a project charter and a project management plan
  • How to identify and analyze project stakeholders and determine their information needs and communication requirements
  • How to manage stakeholder expectations and ensure their satisfaction
