The world is currently running out of IP addresses. On April 15th 2011 some parts of the world have run out of allocatable IPv4 (IP internet) addresses. IPv6 is the replacement protocol to allow for a wider selection of accessible IP addresses. The deployment of IPv6 is the only available solution to the IPv4 address shortage. Any project involving network or internet infrastructure must deal with this issue. This is a change to the protocol and as such requires significant transitional planning.

Experts have been predicting the exhaustion of IPv4 addressing since 2003. The fact is it will soon become a reality and every organization will need to consider the implications of transitioning to IPv6.

The speed of transition however will vary greatly, with many government-led organizations already beginning the transition. This in turn will have a knock -on effect on businesses that provide services to such government agencies.

This webinar will cover the essential topics you should consider when planning your IPv6 transition strategy.

Feedback is critical if an individual or organization wants to grow and develop.

The challenge is that giving and receiving feedback has to be done effectively to realize its benefits. Many people feel uncomfortable giving and/or receiving feedback, and often feedback is delivered in a manner that makes it hard to accept or implement.

In this 60 minute webinar Michelle Moore (LinkedIn profile) will discuss how to provide feedback in a way that makes it clear and easier to act on. She will also review how to receive feedback in a professional manner.

Resource Capacity Management

Live Webinar – November 19th, 2012 2:00 pm EST
Presented by: Eclipse Project Portfolio Management
Duration: 1 hour 1 PDUs Credits: Category C 1 PDU- Free PDU

Organization structures in most companies today make resource management a daunting task. A lack of visibility into resource allocation and capacity, consistent prioritization and validation of actual work versus planned, contribute to this challenge.

Over 50% of IT organizations surveyed use their “best guess” when determining what capacity IT has to perform projects in a given period.

This webinar presents the fundamentals for creating and implementing a Resource Management Model using people, process and technology. A Resource Management Model is a set of processes that provide visibility, decision support and structure to effectively manage people in an organization.

Allocating resources based on availability and fit, supported by standard processes, will improve the success and predictability of projects across your organization.

COO’s, CIOs, Department VPs and Managers, PMs, Resource Managers
