Enterprise project governance (EPG) represents the ultimate evolution in the field of project management. It provides an overview of all fundamental components that affect the balance and effectiveness of projects of all natures across an organization.

EPG proposes a top-down governance structure which includes an integrated framework that involves board-level participation and encompasses all the major components of organizational project management. The presentation ultimately spotlights how to translate business strategy into effective implementation of projects and programs that determine the success or failure of an enterprise.

The components of enterprise project governance include strategy, risk, portfolio, organization, stakeholders, performance and transformation. The benefits and challenges involved in pursuing the EPG concept are discussed and a case is presented.

Sometimes we wonder how Microsoft ever came up with SharePoint. SharePoint is the perfect enterprise integration platform and Microsoft is the perfect transactional, product-focused, marketing company. It just doesn’t fit, which is the main problem surrounding the poor adoption and use of the most powerful business application on the market, SharePoint 2010.

The reality is, for a large enterprise to gain the competitive advantage and efficiencies SharePoint can provide, it must look at HOW or better yet WHO is driving adoption.

Here is why the SharePoint BA is so critical. It isn’t about governance or basic administration. Yes, those things are important, but they are the chicken before the egg. The egg is USE!!!

We are right in the middle of the transformation of power in IT systems moving from geeks to the users, because the users are becoming geeks. SharePoint is the pinnical of user enabled IT power.

This web seminar will discuss at a high level

  • The vast potential real world applications for SharePoint.
  • ASPE will dig into the traditional role of a business analyst
  • And they will discuss what the roles and responsibilities would be for a SharePoint business analyst

The optimal goal is to provide details on how organizations can increase the use of SharePoint in the enterprise, which will save a significant amount of money and time and lead to much quicker time to market.

Live Webinar – Sept 24th, 2013 11:00 am – 12:00 pm EDT
Duration: 1 Hour Credits: 1 PDU Category C- Free PDU
Sponsored by: PEX – The Process Excellence Network

NOTE: Everyone who attends the LIVE webinar on 24 September and participates in the polls will receive a signed complimentary copy of “Lean for Dummies”, co-authored by Bruce Williams.

The results have been staggering: Over 100 billion dollars of value realized; dramatically improved products and services; companies hearing and responding to the voice of the customer like never before; motivated employees and suppliers removing all kinds of waste and increasing customer and consumer value.

But for everything that Lean and Six Sigma practices have done for companies and institutions the world over, something’s been missing.

There’s a big elephant in the room, and it’s called Enterprise IT.

We’ve worked around it for two decades, but we’re in a digital world now, and it can’t be avoided any longer. Lean and Six Sigma weren’t designed for Enterprise IT – and likewise, Enterprise IT wasn’t designed for Lean Six Sigma.

Neither can truly advance without the other –> It’s now time to reboot Lean and Six Sigma and include advanced Business Process Management (BPM) capabilities.

Join this webinar to:

  • Find out where the industry is heading and join the discussion on the next era of business transformation
  • Understand the key capabilities and methods that you can leverage from BPM to supercharge your Lean Six Sigma program
  • Reflect on the future of Lean Six Sigma and how to effectively combine the power of people, process, and technology to meet the challenges of this century

Presenter: Bruce Williams (LinkedIn profile) is Vice President of Technology Architecture and Manufacturing at Pegasystems Inc. Mr. Williams speaks and writes frequently on topics in business and technology trends. He co-authored Six Sigma for Dummies (2005 and 2012), Six Sigma Workbook for Dummies (2006), Lean for Dummies (2007, 2012), and booklet publications of BPM Basics for Dummies (2008) and Process Intelligence for Dummies (2010).

* Do you have a busy schedule? –> If you miss the release time, don’t worry – this webinar will also be made available on demand.

The Business of Behavior Change

Share

Live Webinar Sept 27th, 2013 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM EDT
Duration: 1 Hour Credits: 1 PDU Category C Free
Presented by : O’Reilly® Webcasts

In this interactive webcast presented by Stephen Wendel author of Designing for Behavior Change, he will talk about the business of behavior change: what it means for companies to design products that help users change their daily behavior and routines.

From this webcast you will learn:

  • How to discover the right behavior to change – generating product ideas and evaluating them for their beneficial impact for users and for the company or NGO
  • Clarifying the target outcome, actor, and action – how to get everyone on the same page and avoid disagreements down the line
  • Sustainable business models for building behavior change products
  • Ways to build relationships and work together with behavioral economists and others to get additional expertise and insight

Steve will also preview a set of worksheets that companies and NGOs can use to start the process of designing for behavior change.

Presenter: Steve Wendel (LinkedIn profile) is the Principal Scientist at HelloWallet. Steve is a behavioral social scientist by training, and works with behavior economists and psychologists to conduct research on behavior change, especially around savings and spending behavior. Steve is author of Designing for Behavior Change for O’Reilly, which gives step by by instructions for designers and product managers on how to develop products that help users change their daily behavior – from exercising more to learning a new language.

About the Book: The impetus behind the book comes from his experiences at HelloWallet, which has confronted first-hand the frustrations and failures that come from the two most common approaches to behavior change: telling people what to do (without taking into account their psychology), and trying to directly apply the research literature (without focusing on the quality of the product itself).
