In 2007 he was named “PMI Charleston’s Person of the Year” and “GMIS International’s IT Professional of the Year” for his work promoting and supporting project management efforts within the state. In 2008 he graduated from PMI’s Leadership Institute Masters Class, an elite class that only accepts 50 people into their program annually.

Kathy Schwalbe, Ph.D., PMP (LinkedIn profile) is a Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Augsburg College in Minneapolis. She is the author of Information Technology Project Management, An Introduction to Project Management, and Healthcare Project Management, co-authored with Dan Furlong in May 2013. Kathy was named the Educator of the Year by the Association of Information Technology Professionals in 2011. Her first full-time job was as a project manager in the U.S. Air Force.
