True Engagement Comes from the Inside

A recent session of the National Academy of Human Resources featured an excellent presentation on employee engagement. A thorough review of best practices was shared.

While all of the suggestions were good ideas, all focused on what the organization could do to get the employees more engaged. No ideas were presented on what the employees could do to engage themselves.

What You Will Learn:

In this fast-paced Webcast, Dr. Marshall Goldsmith, Mark Thompson and Bonita Buell-Thompson will discuss employee engagement from a different perspective.

Together they will outline strategies that individual employees can use to become more engaged and to measure their own increase in engagement. You’ll hear about the good work being done in companies and show how internally-driven engagement can support organizationally-driven engagement.

About the Presenters:

Marshall Goldsmith is widely recognized as the world’s leading authority in helping successful leaders achieve positive, lasting change in behavior: for themselves, their people and their teams. American Management Association has listed Dr. Goldsmith as one of the 50 great thinkers and leaders who have influenced the field of management over the past 80 years. He is the author of numerous books and articles, including What Got You Here Won’t Get You There: How Successful People Become Even More Successful, he also wrote The Leader of the Future: New Visions, Strategies and Practices for the Next Era, and his latest, Mojo: How to Get It, How to Keep It, How to Get It Back if You Lose It.

Mark Thompson is the New York Times best-selling coauthor of Success Built to Last: Creating a Life that Matters and Now, Now, Build a Great Business!: 7 Ways to Maximize Your Profits in Any Market with sales expert Brian Tracy. Thompson knows what makes people and products valuable. He was Chief Customer Experience Officer for Charles Schwab and a former director of Best Buy and Korn Ferry.
