Rethinking an organization in an Agile manner is a challenge that affects every organizational aspect and is surrounded by risks that must be appropriately managed.

Beyond the used methodologies and frameworks, the goal is always to develop a mindset that allows the organization to ” stand on their own feet” and embrace antifragility.

In this talk we will describe a concrete transformation experience in a medical sector company, with the operational office in Italy, and how it has been completely revolutionized thanks to PMI Disciplined Agile and Lean Change Management.

Felice Pescatore (LinkedIn profile) will talk about successful changes and the less fortunate experiments, how the company developed its Way of Working (WoW) in an agile manner, even going so far as to reorganize the internal physical spaces.

Felice will also take a look at how the aspects of the transformation program were developed: from the Portfolio to the Risk Management System, up to the revision of the Quality procedures.

Activity Type: Education – Online or Digital Media 1 PDU – Free
Provider:  HBR – Harvard Business Review

Companies and non-profits face more daunting challenges than ever. Market volatility. Sustainability demands. Hybrid working. And, fast-changing technology and regulations, to name just a few.

In this environment, effective collaboration is essential. But how exactly do we collaborate effectively—both within our organizations and with outside partners—to solve problems, innovate, and succeed?

Harvard professor Heidi K. Gardner (LinkedIn profile) and senior executive Ivan A. Matviak (LinkedIn profile) discussed a pragmatic action plan to help companies thrive by collaborating more effectively.

In this webinar Heidi and Ivan:

  • Presented rich stories, new empirical research, and experience-driven advice
  • Provided practical “how to’s” and real-world case studies
  • Helped leaders troubleshoot thorny challenges, like misaligned incentives and collaboration overload
  • Shared inspiring examples of groups harnessing smarter collaboration to tackle some of society’s biggest challenges

We’ve all heard how important collaboration is. The big question is, “How to make it happen?”

Core practices are at the heart of most, if not all L&D practices. This may seem to be the preferred low-risk and safer route.

However, forward-thinking and innovative organizations strive to test and experiment, reinvent, and disrupt their methods and practices constantly. The disruptive practices are outliers, but they work in the cases mentioned below.

Ray will cover  4 case studies that will illustrate these innovations:

  • Insurance: reduction of elearning authoring time from 100% to 25% and achieve 3 times the delivery speed;
  • Oil: Reducing product wastes to 1% that directly impacts costs through  peer-learning and a hybrid-discovery process,
  • Software: extending compliance through analytical and progressive problem-solving brainstorming; and
  • Manufacturing: employing a cohesive platform that integrates over 30 Thinking Tools like risk-analysis, consequence estimator, peer-coaching, metrics and analytics, troubleshooting, the 5 Whys, process flow builder, and many others.
