The potential for Big Data and AI to unearth hidden customers, products, trends, and the next big thing, will become irresistible to many organizations across the world.

Many of us already appreciate that data is central to effective project management.

IIL knows that Big Data is a source of data but is meaningless without accuracy, ethics, analysis, and effective decision-making.

With the latest releases of AI-augmented software products, such as ChatGPT, raising interest and debate, what do these technologies mean for the world of portfolio, program, and project management?

What are the implications for the decision-making processes in projects and how can you best ready yourself for a range of organizational futures?

IIL will provoke you to explore the opportunities and the risks of the Big Data and AI trends and to consider how these technologies could assist in transforming our world.

Upon completion of this webinar, the participants will be able to:

  • Evaluate the promise and challenges of AI and Big Data in transformation contexts
  • Establish a plan to get the most out of Big Data and AI analytics in your projects
  • Understand the importance of a future’s mindset as a core competency of project management
  • Ensure you have the right information and are using the right decision-making criteria to make the right decisions

Artificial Intelligence projects differ from conventional software projects in important ways.

The APM Benefits and Value SIG and Nuclear PM SIG  willdiscuss how to prepare for the demands of data management, QA, and stakeholder expectations.

They’ll discuss the challenges of hidden bias and artificial stupidity, and how they can impact project risk and compliance.

They will also break down the three major kinds of AI projects, discuss challenges specific to those, and share “Pro Tips” for handling them.

Their goal is an interactive discussion that helps project managers be more effective in the rapidly emerging world of AI-enabled organisations.

AI has been presented as a silver bullet to solve all problems, but the (very) public launch of ChatGPT (Microsoft) and Bard (Google) has highlighted that AI is suitable for some tasks and not necessarily all.  So what does all this hoopla mean for project managers?

They will explore:

  • Three different AI project types
  • Differences between leading a typical tech project vs. an AI project
  • Special challenges you may face and what to do about them
  • Real stories from the AI project trenches
  • Pro tips for pioneering project managers

Online Webinar  – Recorded Jan 11th 2023
Activity Type: Education – Online or Digital Media  1 PDU – Free
Provider: Training Magazine Network

According to a recent ATD research study, only 54% of organizations evaluate some learning programs at Level 3 of the five-level evaluation model.

To establish real credibility and prove value, you need to measure whether or not participants applied what they learned in a training program back on the job (Level 3 evaluation).

Unfortunately, measuring on-the-job behavior change is not something many L&D professionals know much about nor often do.

Also, some L&D professionals who are conducting Level 3s have fallen behind recent advances made in evaluation and survey design methodology. Consequently, they likely are collecting data that is either misleading or invalid.

In this informative, highly engaging session you will learn practical tips and guidelines on how to create Level 3 participant surveys that measure job behavior change.

Particular emphasis is given to three crucial areas of survey design: the content of the survey items, formatting of the survey, and the measurement scale used.

Ken Phillips  (LinkedIn profile) will help you to:

  • Use facts from a recent Association for Talent Development (ATD) research study to benchmark an organization’s use of Level 3 evaluations
  • Avoid the common mistakes made by many L&D professionals when creating Level 3 evaluation surveys that result in the collection of misleading or invalid data
  • Use twelve tips and best practices for creating valid, scientifically sound Level 3 evaluations
