Experience-Based Learning Systems (Experience Systems) is not your typical LMS which is mainly for publishing and tracking learning activities.

Some companies add social learning, adaptive learning, XAPI and others to update the “core” LMS system. But this only goes so far. LMSs are directly in conflict with Experience Systems.

Experience Systems start from working and gaining experience – not learning by memorizing or viewing content in VR (Virtual Reality). It helps workers accelerate the process of gaining experience and the transfer of expertise to others.

Topics covered:

  • A snap view of the history of learning systems. What are the advances and displacements?
  • Why are LMSs in direct conflict with Experience Systems?
  • What is the push behind Experience Systems?
  • What are the key elements of Experience Systems that facilitate experience acquisition and intelligence, and expertise development?
  • How does the Experience System change the work and learning behaviors of workers?
  • How would the Experience System change instructional design, digital delivery and management of the training department?
  • What are the metrics and analytics to focus on?
  • Examples and case studies will be presented.
