Data visualization is the representation of numerical data in a visual format so that your audience can quickly and easily understand it and gain insight from it.

Until a few years ago it was enough to take a set of numbers and create a bar chart or pie chart.

Although in the right situation these traditional charts are still appropriate, things have moved on and we’re constantly hearing words like Data Visualization and Infographic.

This training covers how to visually represent your data using some of Excel’s non-charting tools.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to select the most appropriate visualization to convey your message
  • Learn how to create Sparkline charts (mini-charts embedded in a cell)
  • Learn how to use shapes, symbols and icons to create infographic-style charts

Presenter: Mike Thomas (LinkedIn profile) an SME in IT training business since 1989, his primary focus and passion being Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Power BI. Live Webinar June 6th, 2022, 10:00 am – 11:00 am EDT
Activity Type: Education – Course or Training  1 Hour  1 PDU
Provider: Gartner Webinars

IoT technology and markets continue to evolve rapidly.

  1. Firstly, technology innovation continues at a high rate in areas such as endpoints and sensors, wireless networks such as 5G, edge architectures and AI.
  2. Secondly, the IoT market remains complex and fragmented with more verticalization and many vendors seeking new roles and offerings. Commercial opportunities involving monetising data are challenged by weak semantic standards and ownership issues.
  3. Thirdly, risks such as cybersecurity will increase, and IoT is becoming subject to more regulations, guidelines, and certifications.

But the opportunities will greatly outweigh the challenges, and the rapidly growing capabilities of IoT are driving digital transformation in a wide range of industries.

In this webinar, Nick Jones (LinkedIn profile, Gartner bio) Gartner VP Distinguished Analyst, will  explore why the changing face of IoT demands a new IoT strategy, and you’ll discover the four key components of a winning strategy.

Discussion Topics:

  • Technology innovations that drive future IoT capabilities
  • How will the market for IoT products and services evolve
  • What are the four key components of a winning IoT strategy

Online Webinar – Recorded  December 8th 2021
Activity Type: Education – Online or Digital Media 1 PDU – Free
Provider: Training Magazine Network

As employees return to the office, businesses want to believe that remote and in-person staff can simply join a Zoom call and replicate a cohesive team.

Yet we’ve learned that it is a cognitive challenge for remote and in-person employees to engage equally in a synchronous workplace. Companies that don’t address this imbalance risk stratifying their workforce, affecting equity, productivity, and innovation.

In this webinar Dalnaz will explore how you can bridge the gap between in-person and virtual participants to ensure robust training engagement and outcomes.

Dalnaz will look at best practices and tactics before, during, and after training, including:

  • Using asynchronous tools to align on training expectations prior to sessions
  • Fostering a level playing field of communication between in-person and remote participants
  • Capturing a 360-degree understanding of meeting content and discussion across all audiences
  • Measuring engagement and outcomes for each training participant

Discover how to develop flexible, consistent, and accessible training to support all your employees in an evolving future

Presenter: Dalnaz Hasan (LinkedIn profile) Senior Video Evangelist Panopto; has worked in the video space  supporting both businesses and higher education institutions to find innovative and scalable ways to solve communication and training challenges with video. She empowers individuals with the resources they need to successfully leverage technology to communicate training.
