On Tuesday 17 October, APM held a webinar focussed on the recently published guide Project Management in Newsrooms, aimed at those working in a newsroom environment who have responsibility for managing projects of different sizes.

The author, Robin Kwong (LinkedIn profile), who has two decades of journalism experience working in a variety of roles in newsrooms across Asia, Europe and North America, shared his insights into best practices for each stage of an editorial project’s lifecycle from planning and execution through to project wrap-up.

Patrick Scott (LinkedIn profile) Head of PMO for the charity YoungMinds , joined Robin in this session and explored ways to help improve your planning, communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills, and provided practical tips on what to do if someone says no to the project and how to handle unexpected developments.
