In order to remediate the threat of potential hazardous materials leaking into the environment, the tank needed to be replaced quickly!

The Hanford Double Shell Tank AY-102 Recovery Project successfully transferred nuclear waste into a double shell tank for safe storage with no safety issues, ahead of schedule, and US$8.7 million under budget.
