Get ready to apply Improvisation techniques as a project professional.  Regardless of your role: Project Manager, Change Manager, SCRUM Master, Product Owner, Business Analyst, Program Manager, or Subject Matter Expert, you will benefit from Using Applied Improv as a means of establishing Healthy Communication within your teams!

This is not Improv in the sense of comedians at a nightclub in Los Angles.  This Improv in the sense of getting ideas to solve unknowns and define abstract ideas in concrete deliverables.

The Stuff You Do Every Day!

We often host workshops, requirement elicitation sessions, lessons learned meetings, iteration retrospectives, and project kickoffs.  This presentation will help you bring life to those meetings (ceremonies?)

Applied Improv is a way of approaching a conversation that helps facilitate a growth mindset, generative thinking, and building a team whose members feel included and heard.

Using the principles of Applied Improv, you will learn how to energize your meetings, workshops and requirements elicitation sessions.

You will find new ways to interact with your stakeholders to create a growth mindset, increase participation, discuss feedback, and suggest improvements.

Just as Improv implies creative thinking, Applied Improv has defined practices to encourage generative thinking.

Be prepared for a different type of webinar.  This is not going to be a typical webinar.  This will be an Applied Improv session.

Since this session is offering PDUs, there will be a few slides and training, but the majority of the time will be spent using Applied Improve to help you understand how it can benefit you.

Instead of a presenter, there will be a four person team using the techniques.  This is not a scripted session, nor is it “Who’s Line Is It Anyway?”  It is two project professionals and two Applied Improv Professions demonstrating leadership and soft skills for project professionals.

Successful change is one of the biggest challenges that modern organizations face, and in today’s ever-changing environment, those looking for the pace of change to slow are bound to be disappointed.

Changing markets, increased competition and higher customer expectations require companies to continually assess and adapt to the demands of our modern environment.

It is imperative that leaders understand the wider context for change and identify adaptive approaches that enable teams and services to respond to new needs, demands and expectations. The strategic imperative to change is often clear; however, knowing the pathway to success is often foggy.

Change management research has demonstrated time after time that organizational change initiatives fail more often than they succeed despite the resources put into creating change management processes. Strategic change does not happen on its own. Effective leaders guide the process from start to finish.

Join the conversation to:

  • learn how to create a culture of agility and gain ideas for leading change in your organization
  • discover how the LPL model can be used during transformational change along with how to effectively lead people during transition
  • learn from case studies that demonstrate the practical application of navigating transformational change
