85% of executives cite change as critical to business success in these disruptive times. Yet all too often it is seen as a threat.

If change is so important, why are people afraid of it? What is stopping them adopting an innovative and growth mindset?

Quite simply, it’s our subconscious biases that protect the status quo and our tendency to emphasise the negative at the expense of the positive – negativity bias. Change creates winners and losers and the fear of loss looms larger than gain. Yet we all have the ultimate tool, built for change, at our disposal… our brain!

Neuroplasticity – our natural ability to change. The fundamental architecture of the brain is to change and adapt.

Humans can adapt to any habitat on the planet from the Poles to the Equator. Think also of the languages we may have to learn depending on where we are born.

The neurobiology behind this is our brain’s remarkable ability to re-wire itself to cope with changing circumstances. When we learn or experience something new, thousands of neurons wire together to map this new knowledge.

It’s time to switch mindset Whether it is restructuring, digital transformation, or new processes, this workshop demonstrates how we are designed to adapt.

By adopting a growth mindset, change can be seen as an opportunity for success. We’ll show how focusing on the positive and really listening to employees’ concerns helps the brain adjust its response to change and perceived threat.

Key Benefits:

  • Neutralise the non-conscious barriers to change.
  • Reduce fear to create a fertile environment for change.
  • Understand neuroplasticity and the brain’s ability to rewire itself.
  • Know how to change mindset from fixed to growth.
  • Gain the tools to lead change successfully and bring your people with you.

While we’re not experiencing the same level of talent movement as we did in the Great Resignation, it’s still a tight labor market out there.

Recruiters and talent acquisition professionals have been getting creative to make sure they’re quickly finding the right talent for their positions. But are you definitely getting the most from all of your organization’s resources?

When organizations think about hiring, it’s usually from a direct and permanent perspective.

Contingent hiring, while growing, tends to be an afterthought. Both permanent and contingent hiring use the same type of management to recruit but are often treated as completely separate functions.

In this webcast, Cindy Chunn (LinkedIn profile) VectorVMS’s Senior Program Manager takes us through:

  • Developing a partnership between HR and procurement
  • The right way to bring contingent workers into permanent positions
  • Working with extended workforce technologies for total talent management
  • Building your employer brand, regardless of employment type

Note:

SHRM has pre-approved this webcast for 1 General recertification credit hours toward aPHR™, PHR®, PHRca®, SPHR®, GPHR®, PHRi™, and SPHRi™ recertification through the HR Certification Institute.

The success of your strategy is dependent on how well you communicate it.

Enterprises that achieve their strategic objectives are better at strategy communication than those that do not deliver on their strategic ambition.

Good strategy communication brings the strategic vision to life. It makes the strategy real for the audience and makes it relevant to them.

Storytelling is key to this as it underpins many of the techniques for sharing and explaining strategy, including a 1-page strategy.

In this webinar Ian Cox (LinkedIn profile, Gartner bio) Gartner Sr Director  Analyst will explore the purpose of strategy communication and discover why the 1-page strategy is a powerful tool that plays a key role in successful strategy execution. Plus, you will hear the steps you can follow to create your own 1-page strategy.

Discussion Topics:

  • Understand the value and features of good strategy communication
  • Learn how to use a 1-page strategy to build understanding, support and commitment for your strategic vision
  • Discover the 5 simple steps for successfully creating your own 1-page strategy

There are hundreds of different Agile Certifications from competing organizations. Even the authors of the Scrum Framework decided to have separate certifications, and later to create various levels.

Due to its popularity, the Scrum Master role transcended the Scrum Framework and is now included in many other frameworks – even when those frameworks don’t include a Scrum team.

A 2-3 day course won’t necessarily provide a professional with the practical experience and knowledge needed to excel in a particular role. Agile, including Scrum, is an empirical approach which requires experience outside of the classroom to master. While training is a solid place to start in one’s Agile journey, it is hard to believe that anyone can become a good Product Owner, Scrum Master, Value Stream Consultant, Trainer, or Coach in less than one year.

True professional growth occurs in the real world application of the knowledge obtained through certification.

In this webinar Stelian Roman (LinkedIn profile) gives  a cost/benefit analysis of how Agile Certifications can help project delivery, offering examples of when a certification helps and what a Project Manager should look for when choosing a certification.
