Underperformance is a common threat to megaproject managers and the track record of cost and time overruns in these projects is well documented.

While front end planning is important, not all events and scenarios can be foreseen when the project can take several years to complete and may involve many companies and stakeholders.

In our research we find that the capacity to adapt to this uncertainty during the life of the project is crucial for megaproject performance but it is often overlooked as a capability. Using a case study of the construction of a US$20 billion dollar project we show that project leaders play an important role in recognizing when a plan needs to change and then navigating the path onto a new project plan without disrupting the delivery of the project.

Neurodiversity Explained

Share

Live Webinar August 24th, 2023 – 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm EDT
Activity Type: Education – Course or Training  1 Hour  1 PDU
Provider: Human Capital Institute

The I in DEI (Inclusion) refers to the practice or policy of providing equal access to opportunities and resources for people with physical or developmental disabilities and members of other marginalized groups.

This definition applies to children and adults who are neurodiverse, or in broad terms, think, behave, and socialize distinctly due to an underlying condition that contributes to their unique cognitive variation.

The first step to neuro-inclusion is developing awareness and learning about neurodiverse needs and support tools available at home and in the workplace.

These tools can establish a supportive atmosphere that benefits ALL family members and colleagues, fostering understanding and collaboration.

Join Louis for this informative discussion on neurodiversity at home and in the workplace.

Attendees will learn:

  • What neurodiversity is and why embrace it at home and in the workplace
  • What the different neurodiverse conditions are and the strengths and challenges associated with them for children and adults
  • Practical strategies to create a culture of inclusivity in settings where people interact with one another
  • How to create a nurturing home environment for children with support needs and empowering neurodiverse talent within the workplace

Join Louis Chesney (LinkedIn profile) for this informative discussion about what neurodiversity is and why it is important.
