Activity Type: Education – Course or Training  1 Hour  1 PDU

In the digital era, the closer the relationship between an enterprise’s business and IT strategies, the more likely it is to achieve its strategic goals.

However, a good plan does not guarantee success. The strategy must be shared, understood, and supported widely across the enterprise, and be well implemented.

However, only 47% of organizations successfully accomplish their strategy objectives, according to a Gartner study.

In this IT strategy webinar Ian Cox (LinkedIn profile, Gartner bio) Gartner Sr Director  Analyst & Tomas Nielsen (LinkedIn profile, Gartner bio) Gartner Senior Director Analyst will provide CIOs with a template for and examples of a strategy execution charter that will drive execution success.

Discussion Topics:

  • Create an IT strategy that closely aligns to the business strategy
  • Communicate your IT strategy effectively
  • Establish a continual process to keep strategy and execution on track

Designing inaccessible presentations can exclude much more of your audience than you may think.

Everyone can have different needs at different times, and with the rise of online presentations, you have even less control over their environment. Arguably, accessible design has never been so important.

This session looks at core accessibility requirements and how you can incorporate them into your presentations and other PowerPoint-based content.

You’ll see what the various requirements are, and how applying them not only helps those with accessibility needs, but everyone else in your audience.

The use of color, contrast, readability, and redundancy are simple but effective techniques that will be demonstrated live with tools to help you achieve success more easily.

Along with ideas to remove unnecessary distractions, present more inclusively, and distribute content that is accessible to all.

  1. Understand the importance of accessible design and how much of your audience could be affected.
  2. Incorporate design principles to improve the accessibility and effectiveness of your PowerPoint slides.
  3. Test whether slides would pass Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and use techniques to improve accessibility whilst staying on brand.
