High quality agile requirements are more than just user stories. They are visual models, testable acceptance criteria, and the result of collaborative facilitated sessions with your stakeholders and team. Given, When, Then (or Gherkin language) is an effective style for documenting acceptance criteria, particularly in support of teams engaged in behavior driven development processes.

In this interactive workshop, Candase Hokanson will talk about what it takes to get to a “good” user story, by starting with visual models that help identify and prioritize the right user stories, and using proven techniques to elaborate them into solid functional requirements in the Gherkin format (that could be consumed by automation tools like Cucumber!).

We will take a real-world example from idea to “ready” requirement, so you can walk away from this session with hands on experience at writing better stories.

Presenter: Candase Hokanson (LinkedIn profile) Senior Product Manager Seilevel, a requirements consulting firm that redefines how software requirements are created. Candase helps clients to clearly understand the business value of their projects and has cut up to 80% of project scope in unrelated or low priority requirements for multiple projects. Candase has also developed requirements for a variety of products such as: a management accounting and profitability application, a globally used consolidated sales tool and a globally used software portal where customers can access their digital products for a multi-billion dollar technology company.

Less than half of organizations consistently report high strategic alignment in their project management practices despite established research linking business success to strategic alignment in projects.

Regulatory implementation programs, in particular, are susceptible to being operationally (as opposed to strategically) managed with the sole focus on “getting the job done”.

This is due to the perception that these programs are a cost burden to financial institutions with limited contribution to value creation. A decade of responding to increased regulatory scrutiny globally has nevertheless spurred commercial interest in project management frameworks that are tied to business strategy.

In this presentation Alexandra Wong examines the adoption of a strategy-driven approach in an implementation program of Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) 2 in Asia Pacific; assesses the efficacy of this approach towards program success and; highlights the implications for future regulatory programs.

In the decade ahead, what will it take for employees to truly engage — to feel happy and healthy, and become more productive?

It’s a question employers have been trying to answer as their wellbeing programs fail to meet employee expectations and organizational goals.

The traditional tracking and measuring approach to employee wellbeing clearly isn’t enough; biometrics and participation incentives are not inspiring employees to make the long-term lifestyle changes required to feel their best.

Just in time for benefits planning, this webcast will explore what wellbeing means to the modern workforce and why it’s synonymous with employee health engagement.

  • 10  easy-to-implement guidelines for helping employees find joy and happiness
  • The essential elements of a health engagement toolkit that will help your employees lead healthier and happier lives
  • Insights into how culture-first companies are prioritizing health engagement
