A clean rear view mirror makes you a better driver. Are you making use of yours? Teams of 5 or 25, in Agile or traditional set-up, new to agile or in this for years – they all stop once in a while to look back and plan ahead. But not all get the magic results they expect. This webinar is about maximizing the effect of your retrospectives – how often to have them, how to set them up, how to make them useful and constructive. The presenter will review how to avoid hours of complaining or another meeting people try to get out of. It is about retrospectives people actually WANT to attend, about behaviors from real teams that made it and from some that didn’t.

Testing too often gets no respect—too little time, too few resources, and increasingly omission from projects.

It may be hard to admit, but these all signal your testing process is perceived as failing to deliver needed value.

The key to gaining the respect you crave is to manage your testing process proactively so it cost-effectively produces results that everyone recognizes as valuable.

  • Identifying your REAL testing process and why managing it matters
  • Keys to improving the value your testing produces
  • Making it work in Agile projects, even ones without “testers”

Learn how in this interactive webinar.

Live Webinar June 30th, 2020, 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm EDT
Activity Type: Education – Course or Training  1 Hour  1 PDU
Provider:  StickyMinds/Techwell

Robot Framework is a generic open source automation framework for acceptance testing, acceptance test-driven development (ATDD), and robotic process automation (RPA).

It lets testers easily write automated test scripts using a keyword-driven testing approach.

Pekka Klärck, the creator of Robot Framework, will go over the main concepts and benefits of Robot and show how you can use it to scale your test automation by reusing and extending existing keywords.

Pekka will also talk about the vibrant Robot community that works actively in making free libraries for automating all sorts of systems so that you can easily write automated test cases, even without deep programming knowledge.

Sérgio Freire, from Xray, will also show how Jira teams can be more effective by easily integrating testing results coming from the CI/CD pipeline. By using Jira as the central and single source for all testing efforts (manual test cases, exploratory testing, automated scripts), teams can assess the actual readiness of features before deploying them.

Test automation may seem hard, but it’s not rocket science. It gets easier with the right tooling and an open, broad, and helpful community.

Join this web seminar to learn the basics of Robot and get started today.

Presenters:

Pekka Klärck, (LinkedIn profile) is a tester, developer and independent consultant from Finland with 20+ years of experience specializing in testing and test automation. He is the original author and the lead developer of the Robot Framework. In addition to developing the framework further in collaboration with the open source community, he organizes training courses and helps organizations around the world to use it efficiently.

Sérgio Freire (LinkedIn profile) is the Head of Solution Architecture for Xray, a Test Management app for Jira. Sérgio works closely with many different teams worldwide to help them achieve great, high-quality, testable products. He believes that by understanding how organizations work, processes & quality can be improved while development and testing can merge and act as a unique team, with a common goal: provide the best product that stakeholders need.
