Data Analytics is a very hot topic in business right now, but just how much will its influence stretch to the project management community? Join us as we debate the question with two experience project professionals.

Martin Paver is a pioneer, evangelist and visionary who believes data analytics will revolutionize project management. He believes the role of a project professional is about to change dramatically. Does he really believe the Project Professional will morph into a data analyst?

Graham Kemish has been working on major construction projects in the UK and abroad. He knows that computer power is beneficial but cannot replace brainpower, especially when uncertainties exist. Graham believes the demise of the experienced project profession(al) in assessing performance and identifying issues is far from inevitable.

We all know it won’t be a simple choice of AI or human, but where is the balance and when will data analytics become as common in project management as the Gantt Chart?

Whose vision of the future do you support? Where do you stand on this issue? Join the debate, cast your vote and have your voice heard!

Panelists:

Graham Kemish (LinkedIn profile) career has featured senior planning and coordination roles with contractors on the construction of oil and gas production facilities. Graham continually evaluates if there are better ways to manage complex projects. His thoughts have included: are the skills of project engineers best utilized in forward-thinking and providing welcome support in advance to the frontline, OR in promoting meticulous data management systems that analyse performance retrospectively.

Martin Paver (LinkedIn profile) BEng(Hons) MBA CEng MIMechE MAPM RPP has 25+ years’ experience in a wide range of strategy, project, programme and portfolio management roles, spanning the delivery of cutting edge research through to leading a $billion infrastructure programme. Martin has worked in the defence, nuclear, transport and energy sectors, and has a deep understanding of the organisational imperative to leverage the experiences of the past to transform future delivery. Martin established the London Project Data and Analytics Meetup,&  identified and collated over 15,000 P3M lessons.

Financial and social pressures in the post pandemic period will force governments to replace a legacy business architecture that is inflexible, siloed and wasteful.

By adopting composable government enterprise principles and practices, CIOs can improve organizational resilience with an application strategy that is easily adapted and ready for change.

When combined with composable technologies and composable thinking, a composable business architecture enables CIOs to provide their organizations with tools that support an incremental and modular approach to modernization.

In this webinar Rick Howard (LinkedIn profile, Gartner bio) Gartner VP Analyst & Bill Finnerty (LinkedIn profile, Gartner bio) Gartner Sr Director Analyst lays out a practical approach to using a composable business and technical architecture to accelerate digital transformation in government.

Discussion Topics:

  • How composable business concepts and practices apply to government
  • Why you need business technologists to support the composable government enterprise
  • Steps required to implement a composable government enterprise strategy
