Up-Skilling 101

With the evolving workforce, hybrid and remote workplaces running rampant and the power shifting from the employer to the employee — organizations and leaders need to think about the importance of retaining critical skills during this era of the Great Resignation.

Employees and job seekers want to grow and develop their skills so as not to become irrelevant in the future job market.

A 2022 study led by McKinsey has predicted that by 2030 over 50% of the jobs we currently see will disappear. Upskilling is a go-to strategy where critical skills are understood, assessed and refined in an effort to grow and retain internal talent.

Many organizations are looking at their internal talent who they have upskilled each year against those with critical skills who they brought in from outside the organization.

Takeaways from Cristina Costa (LinkedIn profile) include:

  • How to determine what skills your team needs and wants
  • How to make upskilling part of your L&D Strategy
  • How to include employees in upskilling to increase engagement

Some 64% of finance chiefs believe the future autonomous state will be reality within the next six years, but less than 21% use machine learning, prescriptive analytics, natural language processing and blockchain.

Failure to adopt these technologies delays your organization’s ability to move information swiftly with little to no human intervention, and exposes your business to shocks such as inflation, global conflicts and pandemics.

In this finance webinar Mark McDonald (LinkedIn profile, Gartner bio) Gartner  Vice President & Fellow looks at what it really means to be an AI-forward finance organization.

You will discover the latest Gartner research that reveals what leading finance organizations do to move towards becoming an autonomous finance function of the future.

Discussion Topics:

  • Discover what being an AI-forward finance organization really means
  • Explore AI-forward finance organization concepts
  • Find out what leading finance organizations do to be more autonomous
