Activity Type: Education – Course or Training  1 Hour  1 PDU

“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” The same can be said for a stakeholder’s perception of a project’s success.

Excellent project communications can serve as a catalyst for transforming stakeholder perceptions of a project from good to great – and poor communication damages stakeholder perceptions, even when the project is going well.

In this webinar, you learn the ART of writing project reports that stakeholders actually read. Project communication expert Pete Matassa (LinkedIn profile) will offer tips for creating custom reports and managing stakeholder perceptions.

This webinar will address:

  • Traditional/Standard project reporting
  • Lean and Agile Hybrid reporting techniques
  • Using stakeholder analysis to determine the reporting topics that major stakeholders are interested in
  • Creating custom reporting to facilitate stakeholders’ engagement
  • Auditing reports to determine communication effectiveness

As a result of attending this webinar, you will be able to:

  • Determine which reports fulfill organization requirements and which reports meet stakeholders’ information needs.
  • Determine what project areas need to be reported on to enhance stakeholder engagement.
  • Determine if your current reporting is effective or just meeting organizational requirements.

Presenter: Pete Matassa, MBA, PMP, PMI-ACP President of Techknowledgy has been creating custom project status reports for diverse stakeholders of IT infrastructure, accounting, system implementation, and process reengineering projects over a twenty-year project management career. Pete leverages his hands-on leadership experience at Techknowledgy, Inc., a Project Management Training and Consulting company. Pete has been developing and leading training programs in project management and business soft skills courses for large and mid-sized organizations for 25+ years.

The widening wage gap for women of color during the pandemic overshadows progress for women in the workplace.

According to LeanIn’s 2021 study, Black women are paid 42% less than white men and 21% less than white women, while Latinas earn 49 cents for every dollar a white man makes. However, the pay gap for women of color did not start with the global pandemic.

To practice pay equity, executives and HR leaders need to understand why pay inequality is systemic for underrepresented groups in the US.

In this session Amy Spurling (LinkedIn profile) Founder & CEO, Compt & Elizabeth Jane Swanson (LinkedIn profile) Founding Partner, Jane’s Way & Jane C. Edmonds (LinkedIn profile) Founding Partner, Jane’s Way will cover a brief history of pay inequity for women and people of color and how HR teams can implement equitable compensation practices such as salary transparency and inclusive benefits to attract and retain top talent.

Disruption is an ever-present fact of life. However, not all disruptions are born equal.

The 7 disruptions examined in this session all promise seismic, generational change and contain the potential to make and break fortunes.

The metaverse, flying cars, digital humans, decentralized autonomous organizations, wireless electric vehicle charging, graphene and disposable technology, could reshape industries such as transportation, entertainment, construction, medicine, and the technology industry itself.

Seismic change does not happen overnight but ignoring a disruption in its early stages typically makes the entry price later in the disruption’s development cycle more costly.

Join Ben Pring (LinkedIn profile) Gartner VP Analyst to examine how CIOs and IT leaders can evaluate, track and plan for 7 major disruptions in the coming years.

Discussion Topics:

  • Hear about 7 disruptive ideas and technologies that have the potential to upend business as usual
  • Gain insight on edge of the radar trends to understand the threats and opportunities they present
  • Get competition ready to act faster and more decisively than others
